Updated options for adding visual components to conversations are already being tested in the beta version of the Android app.

Individual WhatsApp for Android users are reporting the discovery of a range of new drawing and video editing tools. Updates are currently in the testing phase and will be available to all users in the near future.

Among the new options are additional pencils that expand the user's ability to create drawings, as well as the option to blur images. This feature is important enough for those who often exchange photos or drawings, as it allows to significantly speed up this process by blurring individual details that need to be hidden on the go without the need use third-party applications.

WhatsApp is also reportedly working on even more tools, including video processing, that are not yet available even in beta. When to expect for them to be publicly available is not yet known.

At the moment, Meta-owned WhatsApp is far inferior to its main competitor Telegram in the number of additional tools that expand the user experience beyond just text messages. The application active working on adding new features and options for working with visual components have become another step along the way.
