Small businesses is able to get payment for goods in an easier way by communicating with customers in direct messages.
In a post on his Instagram page, Mark Zuckerberg talked about the introduction of a new tool that aims to facilitate transactions between small businesses and shoppers. The “payment in chat” option has become such a tool; with its help, the buyer can directly make a payment using Meta Pay in the course of communication through DMs. Also, the buyer can place an order and track its implementation in just a few taps on the screen. So far, the option is available only to pages from the United States.
Based on the fact that buyers and sellers often discuss the details of the purchase through chats in direct messages, Instagram decided to introduce a number of additional options to facilitate this process and allow users not to leave the chat to complete the transaction. The seller can create a payment request after the buyer has expressed a desire to make a purchase. Next, the buyer clicks the "Pay" button in the generated request and confirms the payment.
The innovation will allow even very small businesses that, for one reason or another, do not use the Shops service to create a store on the platform, to fully use the platform for all stages of sales.
