Google has announced an update to its Gemini AI image-creation model, with plans to roll out the generation of visuals of people in the coming days. The feature was initially paused in February due to inaccuracies in some depictions generated by the model. The inaccuracies, where the AI model sometimes returned incorrect images, had drawn criticism from users.

Google stated that it has worked to enhance the product by addressing these issues, adhering to "product principles," and simulating scenarios to identify weaknesses. The updated feature will first be made available to paid users of the Gemini AI chatbot in English, with plans to expand to more users and languages. The company clarified that the improved Imagen 3 model will create better images of people but will not generate images of specific individuals, children, or graphic content.

Additionally, Google announced that, in the coming days, subscribers to Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise plans will gain access to "Gems," chatbots customized for specific tasks. These chatbots allow users to create specific instructions for various purposes, saving time by eliminating the need to rewrite prompts for repetitive tasks.
