Google has begun rolling out Gemini 3, a new generation of AI models positioned as its most advanced and reliable to date. The launch marks Google’s attempt to regain momentum in the consumer AI race after OpenAI’s challenging GPT-5 debut. For the first time, the flagship Gemini 3 Pro is available to all users on day one through the Gemini app and integrated directly into Search for subscribers.

The model is built as fully multimodal, processing text, images, and audio simultaneously. Google says this unlocks new opportunities. These include transforming product images and details into online catalogs, designing interactive presentations, or producing infographics from varied content.

In AI Mode within Search, Gemini 3 Pro offers more visual and structured answers. It is powered by an upgraded query-fan-out system that better interprets intent and uncovers broader information. Google highlights reduced flattery in its responses. This positions the model as more direct, insightful, and less prone to sycophancy — a deliberate contrast with ChatGPT.

Gemini 3 Pro also brings stronger reasoning and autonomous task execution. It underpins the experimental Gemini Agent, which can manage tasks such as organizing emails or planning travel inside the app. The model currently leads LMArena benchmarks, and a Deep Think mode further boosts its reasoning. Gemini 3 Pro is available globally in the Gemini app, while enhanced features reach Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US.
