Posting content originally created on the Facebook platform to Instagram will include photos and videos. It will be appreciated by users who actively use both social networks to publish media content.

Users of the Facebook and Instagram platforms already have the opportunity to publish their content from the Instagram services Reels and Stories directly to Facebook. Now it is reported that the option of reverse cross-posting is also being tested, when posts from Facebook, including photo and video content, can be published on the Instagram platform. Moreover, you can post immediately to two social networks as individual posts, and in general all posts, this option is set in the settings.

Thus, users who actively use both platforms will be able to download media content only once and get rid of unnecessary routine processes. For Facebook itself, such a move will become an opportunity to increase the amount of content on Instagram and attract additional users to the platform.

According to Facebook, the implementation of the new option began in early October, although its launch has not yet been officially announced. The new feature is undergoing global testing and is available to individual users who have linked profiles across the two platforms.
