The acquisition will allow the platform to provide users with enhanced data visualization capabilities.

Template-based graphics creating service Canva has announced the acquisition of data visualization startup Flourish. The amount of the transaction and other financial details are not disclosed by the companies at the moment. All Flourish employees will reportedly join the Canva team as a result of the deal.

Startup Flourish has been working since 2006, developing information visualization tools for business clients. With the acquisition, Canva is expected to attract several hundred thousand new customers to its platform, including large companies that need professional tools for mass production of visual effects, as well as a variety of visual materials such as graphs and charts.

Canva users will be able to access new data visualization tools in the coming months. In particular, we are talking about easier and faster ways to turn large amounts of data into attractive and information-rich graphic elements. Including the ability to convert data from spreadsheets into dynamic charts using a large number of provided templates.
