Amazon sellers can now utilize an AI assistant designed to help grow their businesses. Project Amelia answers questions about business metrics and, in the future, will assist with resolving issues. Built on AWS’s Amazon Bedrock, the assistant is currently available in beta for selected U.S. sellers.

Amazon plans to roll out this feature more broadly across the U.S., and later this year, it will expand to other countries and languages. The aim of Project Amelia is to provide sellers with tools to manage and scale their businesses.

At launch, sellers will be able to access data such as sales figures and website traffic. The assistant can summarize metrics, including recent sales, units sold, and customer traffic, while comparing them to the same period last year. Sellers can also ask follow-up questions regarding a specific product’s performance, growth, and customer activity. Eventually, the AI assistant will support additional tasks.
